Work as a drama teacher on BUNAC’s Summer Camp USA programme – the leading US work and travel experience! Spend nine weeks working with kids aged between 6 and 16 on an American summer camp.

Working with groups of children, drama teachers develop camper’s theatrical skills and understanding of the techniques behind production. Throughout the summer children perform a variety of shows, and a drama teacher’s role often involves being the director, mentor and cheerleader for each budding performer! You will teach both the theatrical and technical side of performing.

After camp, take advantage of the additional 30 days to travel around the USA, Canada and Mexico. Visit beautiful natural landmarks such as the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park and Niagara Falls, and experience world-class cities including New York, Chicago and San Francisco, to name only a few.

Requirements

BUNAC individually places applicants on summer camps according to their preferences, skills and experience. For the role of drama teacher, applicants should be energetic and highly enthusiastic about performing arts with experience of working with children in a leadership position. Applicants must also be aged 18 or above.
