Work as a performing arts instructor on BUNAC’s Summer Camp USA programme – the leading US work and travel experience! Spend nine weeks working with kids aged between 6 and 16 on an American summer camp.

Performing Arts teacher’s responsibilities can range from teaching the traditional performing arts to more specialised skills such as circus arts and magic. A large amount summer camps encourage campers to be involved with dramatic production at camp – both on stage and behind the scenes. Performing Arts counsellors often work towards a production, organising the cast and crew and preparing the show, teaching performance skills in the process.

After camp, take advantage of the additional 30 days to travel around the USA, Canada and Mexico. Visit beautiful natural landmarks such as the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park and Niagara Falls, and experience world-class cities including New York, Chicago and San Francisco, to name only a few.

Requirements

BUNAC individually places applicants on summer camps according to their preferences, skills and experience. For the role of performing arts teacher, applicants should be energetic and highly enthusiastic about performing arts with experience of working with children in a leadership position. Applicants must also be aged 18 or above.
