Specialist sports counsellor jobs in the USA

Work as a specialist sports instructor on BUNAC’s Summer Camp USA programme – the leading US work and travel experience! Spend nine weeks working with kids aged between 6 and 16 on an American summer camp.

Specialist sports counsellors’ work with groups of children in activity periods, developing their skills and understanding of a specific sport. Throughout the camp session you will work to enhance children’s abilities through drills and team games during lessons. Sports facilities at camp vary, but the majority have good equipment, pitches & courts and resources.

After camp, take advantage of the additional 30 days to travel around the USA, Canada and Mexico. Visit beautiful natural landmarks such as the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park and Niagara Falls, and experience world-class cities including New York, Chicago and San Francisco, to name only a few.

Requirements

BUNAC individually places applicants on summer camps according to their preferences, skills and experience. For the role of specialist sports counsellor, applicants should be energetic, enthusiastic and skilled in key sporting activities with experience of working with children in a leadership position. Applicants must also be aged 18 or above.
