Job Description

Work as a swimming instructor on BUNAC’s Summer Camp USA programme – the leading US work and travel experience! Spend nine weeks working with kids aged between 6 and 16 on an American summer camp.

As a swimming instructor, you will be teaching skills and giving daily lessons to campers, normally in hour-long periods. You will be working with children to help them learn and grow in confidence in the water throughout the summer. Facilities at camp can range from a heated outdoor pool to swimming in a cordoned-off area of a natural lake.

After camp, take advantage of the additional 30 days to travel around the USA, Canada and Mexico. Visit beautiful natural landmarks such as the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park and Niagara Falls, and experience world-class cities including New York, Chicago and San Francisco, to name only a few.

BUNAC individually places applicants on summer camps according to their preferences, skills and experience. For the role of swimming instructor, applicants should be energetic and highly enthusiastic about swimming with experience of working with children in a leadership position. Applicants must also be aged 18 or above.
