Crossroads for Kids will be hiring outstanding role models and leaders (19+ years old) to inspire youth 7 - 17 from at-risk environments next summer. Crossroads for Kids designs and delivers summer camping and year round programs that promote the emotional well being of children, while providing stable and positive relationships in a diverse and natural setting.
Through innovative social, recreational and educational programs, we empower youth at risk to achieve success regardless of their environment. Working in collaboration with communities and with commitment to excellence, we will be a leading advocate for children's issues. We have general, specialist and leadership positions available from June - late August 2008, working at our incredible residential summer camp programs in Duxbury, Brewster and Ashby, MA. Our three locations each have a different and unique program so there is something great for every skill or interest you may have.
Camp Wing/Duxbury Stockade: An overnight program for boys and girls that offers one 10 day session, a 14 day session and a 21 day session for 200 campers ages 7 to 13. Campers come from greater Boston, Cape Cod. The program focuses on social and skill development through a diverse range of activities.
Camp Mitton: An overnight program for boys and girls that also offers one 10 day session, one 14 day session and one 21 day session. A smaller, family style environment serves 64 campers ages 7 to 12. Mitton's smaller site, and more individualized activity and behavior management program provides the ideal setting for children in crisis situations such as homelessness and foster care.
Camp C5 New England (formerly Camp Coca-Cola): An overnight co-ed program for teens focused on developing leadership and community involvement. The program has a strong tripping component as well as traditional camp activities.
Our staff are ages 18 to 35, and are college students, graduates, school teachers and former campers. You will have an opportunity to meet people with a diverse range of experiences from many different cultures and backgrounds. Develop leadership, communication and teamwork skills that can be used in any career!

Crossroads for the Kids has job opportunities at three of its camp, positions vary, please see website for detailed information. Staff will be teaching in an activity area (e.g. swim instruction or soccer) for approximately 3-4 hours each day. You also have cabin responsibilities and you will be joining in our fun evening programs and special events. There are a diverse range of positions available for summer 2008:

Waterfront: Swim Coach, CPR Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, First Aid Instructor, Lifeguard, Fishing Instructor, Kayaking Instructor
