Directed by Kristin A. Fieseler, a professor of dance at DeSales University and Artistic Director of Annex Dance Company, EMDC combines the best of professional-level instruction with an understanding of kids, the joy of dance, and a love of nature and the outdoors. We are located on an exquisitely beautiful 200-acre mountaintop campus in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

In Endless Mountains Dance Camp campers spend most of their day in dance classes and rehearsals, while still having time each day to try other activity areas at EMDC's sister camp, Camp Ballibay.

Most staff are hired as Ballibay staff as well as EMDC staff. The EMDC session is 2 weeks, while Ballibay sessions range from 3 to 9 weeks in length.

The two weeks of EMDC include two performances designed for dance intensive campers: a Dance Concert consisting of new jazz, tap, ballet, modern, and hip-hop choreography, and a Showcase in which work from campers' ongoing classes is exhibited. In 2008, EMDC plans to offer traditional dance technique and performance, dance on camera, and training in "non-dance" movement styles such as Capoeira, Freerunning/Parkour, and Tai Chi Chuan.

Staff members receive 1 day off per week and every other night off. All camp facilities are available to staff members during their time off, except horseback riding. The food is excellent for omnivores and vegetarians alike. On-campus facilities specifically for staff members include laundry, computers, e-mail, a phone, and a comfy lounge with a TV/VCR, refrigerator, pool table, and more.

Staff members are mostly graduate and undergraduate students, teachers, and professionals in their fine and performing arts fields. Average staff age is early-twenties, but we do have staff in their late twenties and thirties; and several camp parents are also staff members. Staff work cooperatively and collaboratively, and share many wonderful experiences with each other and with the kids throughout the summer. Many staff return year after year to work with us. We offer 8-11 week contracts beginning June 15 or June 22, 2008.

The Endless Mountains Dance Camp has three sister camps: Ballibay, The Farm Arts Camp, and The Rock Farm. Most staff will work with children from multiple camps.
