Au Pair in the USA

Just imagine: a place to call "home" in the United States, a flight, room and board, pocket money and vacation time. You will receive all of this for your involvement as an au pair with AuPairCare!

Duration: Minimum duration of 12 months, with optional programme extension of 6, 9 or 12 months
Start Dates: Throughout the year!
Costs / Benefits: For your involvement as an AuPairCare au pair, you will receive:

* Flight to the United States, including all connecting flights to your host family
* Return flight to UK (subject to successful completion of your AuPairCare programme)
* 4-day training seminar in the greater New York area
* All-inclusive comprehensive insurance package for 12 months
* Your own bedroom and full board
* Weekly salary of $195.75
* Up to $500 in tuition money in order to attend college classes (you must complete 6 credits or equivalent)

* 2 weeks vacation (10 working days)
* 1 1/2 free days per week
* 1 completely free weekend per month
* 13th travel month (optional)


Requirements

Due to J1 visa requirements, all applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

* Be between 18-26, unmarried and childless
* Have at least 200 hours of previous childcare experience (outside the immediate family)
* Be able to provide references from 2 different sources, in support of your application
* Have a valid driving license (recommended)
* Be healthy and a non-smoker
* Have completed secondary education (i.e. GCSEs)
* Have a genuine love of working with children, and be interested in spending a minimum of a year in the USA as an au pair
